1. Start foundation from the centre of your face and blend out
We’ve all done it. Looked back at photos from a night out and noticed your foundation blending was waaay off! So when I learnt this beauty tip it literally changed my life. To create a more natural seamless look apply your foundation from the centre of your face and blend out. The key to flawless foundation is always blending!
2. Don’t wait too long to moisturise after a bath or shower
If you want to keep your skin moisturised it’s important not to let too much moisture escape your skin after you get out your bath or shower. It is best to apply when your skin is slightly damp.
3. Protect your skin
Don’t be mislead by the drastic drop in temperature, you should always be wearing sunscreen in the colder months! The suns harmful rays are just as strong and damaging despite the temperate! What a lot of people don’t know about sun damage is that the effects are irreversible and you’ll only see the damage as you get older. So ladies if you want to keep your youthful beautiful skin for longer, always use sun screen!
4. Invest in a good setting spray
Sometimes it’s important to just invest. A good setting spray will keep your make-up on your face all day without having to worry about it smudging!
5. Use coconut oil as a makeup remover
Coconut oil or imagic oil? It’s everywhere. People are eating it, oil pulling with it and and using it for hair and face masks. So i’m here to give you another fantastic use for the magical oil. It’s a great natural makeup remover. The best way to use this is to warm up the oil then apply it onto a cotton pad. Gently remove your make-up and let it reveal make-upless moisturised skin!
6. Use tiny strokes to make your eyebrows looks more natural
Trends come and go but at the moment the eyebrow trend is definitely natural eyebrows. If you’re finding it hard to achieve the look use gentle strokes to create the look of hairs! It takes some time to perfect but with a little time you’ll be on the road to new shapely natural brows!
7. Learn and study your face
No two faces are the same ( even identical twins have slight differences), so when we use make-up techniques it’s important to remember this fact. Let’s take contouring and highlighting for example, you should never just copy the same technique as someone else. Learn and study your face so you can use the technique to adapt it to highlight your features. You have to do things to flatter your face shape, not anyone else’s!
8. Wake me up
Use light coloured liner on the inside of your eyes to make your eyes look bigger and more awake. Use a white liner if you have fair skin and a cream coloured liner for olive and darker skin tones.
9. Having a bad hair day! Use a head tie or turban
Sometimes no matter what you do, your hair just doesn't want to behave. On those days use a nice head tie or turban as an accessory and you'll have one less thing to stress about!
10. Stay Hydrated!
I know we’ve mentioned this before but it’s so important. If you want beautiful skin and hair it needs to start from the inside! You should never feel thirsty, so always make sure you’re topping up on your H20!
I know we said 10 but this beauty trick takes no time at all and it's definitely the ultimate one, nothing looks more beautiful than confidence!
